Job Description
Our client, a global leader in logistics and supply chain management, is renowned for delivering innovative and efficient solutions to a diverse client base. They are seeking an experienced Interim Logistics Lawyer to join their dynamic legal team on a 1-year fixed-term contract, based in their London office.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate logistics-related contracts, including service agreements, freight forwarding contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Provide expert legal advice on UK and international transport regulations, including customs, trade, and environmental compliance.
- Support risk management, dispute resolution, and regulatory investigations within the logistics sector.
- Develop and implement policies to ensure compliance with GDPR and health & safety regulations.
- Collaborate with external counsel as needed and oversee legal aspects of cross-border logistics operations.
- Stay abreast of legislative changes and industry trends impacting the logistics and supply chain sector.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with a valid practicing certificate in England and Wales (or equivalent jurisdiction).
- Minimum of 4 years’ PQE with significant experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain law.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial contracts, international trade regulations, and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork.
- Experience in dispute resolution and risk management is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with data protection and environmental regulations is advantageous.
