We are working with a leading energy-based client involved in major projects driving the energy transition, who are now looking to appoint a Deputy Company Secretary to join their growing legal and governance function.

Reporting directly to the Lead Company Secretary, this is a broad and visible role supporting the governance framework across a complex joint venture structure. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, the Board, and external advisers to ensure best practice corporate governance and compliance standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Lead Co-Sec with Board and Committee management, including agendas, papers, and minutes
  • Manage subsidiary governance, statutory filings, and company records
  • Provide guidance on Companies Act and corporate governance requirements
  • Assist with corporate transactions, projects, and regulatory submissions
  • Develop governance tools, templates, and process improvements to enhance efficiency

About You

You’ll likely be ICSA/CG qualified (or part-qualified) with experience gained in a regulated, listed, or joint venture environment. A strong grasp of UK corporate governance, excellent drafting skills, and the ability to operate confidently with senior leadership are essential.
