London | Office-based | International Business
If you're looking for a role where you'll spend every day reviewing the same type of contract, this probably isn't for you.
If, however, you enjoy being the lawyer the business turns to for everything from complex customer agreements and strategic projects through to corporate transactions, GDPR, company secretarial work and international expansion, then this is an exceptional opportunity.
We're recruiting on behalf of one of the world's leading digital infrastructure businesses. Operating across Europe and Asia-Pacific, the business is investing heavily in growth, developing new facilities internationally and expanding into new markets. The legal team sits at the centre of that journey.
Working alongside an experienced Senior Legal Counsel, you'll become one of a small legal team supporting the business across seven jurisdictions, partnering directly with commercial leaders and senior executives on work that genuinely shapes the organisation.
The Opportunity
This is a broad commercial legal role with real estate and customer contracts at its heart.
You'll lead negotiations on customer agreements while also becoming involved in an unusually diverse range of legal work, including:
- Commercial customer contracts and licence agreements
- Supplier and procurement contracts across the business
- GDPR and privacy matters
- Corporate transactions, restructuring and strategic projects
- Company secretarial work and corporate governance
- International expansion into new jurisdictions
- External counsel management
- Board support and executive decision-making
Because the legal team is intentionally lean, there is very little siloing. You'll gain exposure to areas that would often sit across multiple specialist teams elsewhere.
Why This Role Stands Out
This is an opportunity to:
- Join one of the fastest-growing sectors globally.
- Work directly with senior leadership, including Executive and C-suite stakeholders from day one.
- Support projects across Europe and Asia-Pacific.
- Build expertise across commercial, corporate, governance and strategic legal work.
- Develop into a genuinely broad in-house lawyer with significant long-term career progression.
- Work in an ambitious organisation investing heavily in future growth and succession planning.
About You
We're looking for an experienced commercial lawyer who enjoys partnering closely with the business and isn't afraid of variety.
You'll likely bring:
- Approximately 8-12 years' PQE (guideline only).
- Previous in-house experience.
- A strong commercial real estate background, particularly customer-facing property or occupational agreements rather than purely investment or transactional real estate.
- Excellent commercial contracts experience.
- Confidence working directly with senior stakeholders.
- A pragmatic, commercially focused approach to legal risk.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
Experience within digital infrastructure, data centres, utilities, telecoms, EV charging or similarly asset-intensive industries would be advantageous, although candidates from other sectors with the right technical background will also be considered.
Culture
This is a highly commercial legal team that prides itself on being embedded within the business rather than operating as a back-office function.
The environment is collaborative, ambitious and fast-moving. People succeed here because they are curious, proactive, resilient and genuinely interested in understanding how the business operates. The team works closely with commercial colleagues every day, providing real-time legal support and helping the business move quickly while managing risk effectively.
If you're looking for a role that offers far more than simply reviewing contracts and want the opportunity to influence strategic decisions while building a broad international in-house career we'd love to hear from you.
