We’re working with a large, international consumer business looking to hire an IP Manager on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a broad and hands-on role with the opportunity to shape how a global IP portfolio is managed across a diverse group of businesses. This position would suit someone who enjoys the operational and strategic side of IP, alongside day-to-day trade mark work, and is keen to work closely with commercial teams across multiple markets.

The role will involve:

  • Managing day-to-day trade mark matters including clearance searches, enforcement, cease & desist letters, co-existence agreements and portfolio advisory work
  • Supporting a large international IP portfolio, working with external counsel and internal stakeholders across the business
  • Advising on brand protection and trade mark strategy across multiple brands and markets
  • Working closely with marketing, R&D and commercial teams on IP-related matters
  • Leading or supporting IP operations projects, including improving portfolio management processes, reporting and systems

About you:

  • Background in intellectual property – this could be as a solicitor, trade mark attorney, or experienced trade mark paralegal
  • Strong experience managing trade mark portfolios, ideally across multiple jurisdictions
  • Comfortable managing multiple matters simultaneously and making pragmatic judgement calls
  • Interested in process improvement, portfolio management and legal operations alongside advisory work
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and comfortable working directly with business stakeholders
