We are working with a well-established and highly regarded financial services business seeking an experienced interim Senior Legal Counsel to join the team on an immediate-start basis. This is a hands-on role supporting a lean and collaborative legal function across a broad range of commercial and operational legal matters. The business is looking for someone who can step in quickly, work autonomously and provide practical support to senior stakeholders from day one.
Key responsibilities are likely to include:
- Advising on a broad range of commercial contracts and business agreements
- Supporting operational and strategic legal matters across the business
- Working closely with senior internal stakeholders across multiple functions
- Managing external counsel where required
- Assisting with ongoing projects and day-to-day legal support within a regulated environment
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- Strong in-house commercial legal experience
- Financial services experience preferred
- Ability to operate independently within a lean legal team
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Availability to start immediately or at short notice
