This is a broad, hands-on in-house role for a commercially minded lawyer who wants real exposure across a growing financial services group — not a narrow silo.
You’ll sit at Group level, working closely with the Group General Counsel, supporting multiple regulated businesses spanning platform, discretionary fund management and financial planning. It’s a genuinely varied role, combining regulatory, commercial and governance work, with the chance to grow your influence as the legal function continues to scale.
What you’ll be doing:
- Advising across a wide range of financial services and FCA-regulated matters
- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts (technology, SaaS, suppliers, distribution and advisory agreements)
- Supporting regulatory projects such as Consumer Duty, SMCR and product governance
- Working closely with Compliance and senior stakeholders to deliver clear, pragmatic advice
- Supporting governance and company secretarial matters, including board materials and filings
- Helping to improve legal operations, templates and processes as the function matures
What they’re looking for:
- England & Wales qualified solicitor, c.4+ PQE
- In-house experience in regulated financial services (platforms, asset or wealth management ideal)
- Strong commercial contract drafting skills
- Someone organised, proactive and comfortable working across multiple workstreams
- A lawyer who wants to build long-term in a growing in-house team
