We’re Free Soul - wellbeing for her, however she defines it. Because no two experiences are ever the same, and her path deserves to be as individual as she is. We shine a light on the unfiltered reality of being well - not the industry-standard version, but the honest, everyday pursuit of what makes her feel good.
How do we do it? By creating expertly formulated products with clinically tested ingredients that support every woman’s unique needs. Working at Free Soul is more than just a job - it’s a purpose. We’re a mission‑led team where everyone genuinely cares about the impact we’re making.
We lead with ownership - taking responsibility for our work, our ideas, and the energy we bring. Each person has the freedom and trust to run with bold ideas and be accountable for making them happen. We show up with respect and kindness - to our teammates, our community, and ourselves. We listen. We celebrate differences. And we create a space where everyone feels seen and valued.
We’re driven by a growth mindset - we stay curious, open to feedback, and committed to learning. Challenges are seen as opportunities, and we never stop evolving - as individuals, as a team, and as a brand. We own the women’s nutrition space by doing things differently - liberating, not restricting. We celebrate every side of her - the quirks, the flaws, the fierce and the tender. Our brand reflects her real, raw journey and gives her the freedom to show up exactly as she is. That’s what makes Free Soul a truly special place to work.
What you’ll be doing
Photography is the backbone of Free Soul’s visual identity - from the product shots that drive ecommerce conversion, to the campaign imagery that stops someone mid‑scroll and makes them feel seen. We’re looking for a Photographer & Videographer to join our Creative team. This is primarily a photography role - specifically still life, product, and ecommerce photography - with a genuine secondary capability in video. The ideal candidate is a photographer first, who can also turn their hand to polished, camera‑led video when needed.
Reporting into our Creative Producer, you’ll work from fully developed briefs and own the quality of every asset that leaves your hands. The Creative Producer leads concepting, pre‑production, and shoot direction - your job is to execute with craft and precision, and bring a sharp eye to everything you shoot.
But this isn’t a purely passive role. We’re looking for someone who brings their own ideas to the table - someone who spots an opportunity on a shoot, suggests a different angle, or comes to the Creative Producer with a reference they’ve been thinking about. You’ll be a genuine creative collaborator: proactive, curious, and willing to experiment within a clear direction. The best work comes from two people pushing each other, and we want someone who brings that energy.
This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused role - ideal for someone who takes real pride in the quality of their work and wants to see it at every touchpoint of a brand they believe in.
Photography - Primary Focus
- Shooting product and still life photography for ecommerce, campaign, and social use, working precisely to Free Soul’s brand style guidelines - covering lighting setups, composition, backgrounds, colour palette, and finish.
- Executing product imagery across a broad range of SKUs and formats, maintaining shot‑to‑shot consistency across brand campaigns.
- Setting up and managing shoots independently - handling equipment, props, surfaces, and lighting to brief.
- Retouching and colour‑grading all photography to brand standard, ready for deployment across channels.
- Shooting macro and close‑up photography of ingredients, textures, and product details for use across the website, campaign, and ecommerce.
- Maintaining visual consistency across all product imagery so assets work cohesively at every customer touchpoint.
- Organising and maintaining asset libraries so content is accessible, well‑archived, and easy to repurpose.
- Delivering all assets to agreed timelines, file specs, and naming conventions.
- Proactively sharing references, ideas, and observations with the Creative Producer - contributing to how we develop and evolve the visual language of the brand over time.
Video – Secondary but Essential
- Macro and close‑up video of ingredients, textures, and product details for use on the website and in campaign assets.
- Clean, well‑lit product videos for Amazon listings and ecommerce use.
- Ad hoc founder and on‑camera assets - interview setups, talking‑head formats, and brand‑facing video shot to a professional standard.
- Lifestyle and campaign video to brief, working alongside the Creative Producer on more considered brand‑led shoots.
- Adapting and reformatting video assets across platform specs and aspect ratios as required.
- Light motion graphics or text animation in After Effects where specified.
What we’re looking for in you
- A strong portfolio with still life and product photography at its core - we want to see technically excellent, brand‑consistent work.
- Expert command of lighting - both studio and natural - and the ability to replicate precise setups to brief.
- Confident with DSLR camera systems; comfortable shooting on iPhone where required for specific briefs.
- Proven retouching and colour‑grading skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Solid video capability - able to shoot and edit clean, polished video content for ecommerce and digital use.
- Experience shooting macro photography - ingredients, textures, food and liquid.
- Amazon and ecommerce video production experience.
- Experience with After Effects for light motion graphics.
- A background in beauty, wellness, or lifestyle brand photography.
- Campaign‑level video production - if you’ve shot more considered, brand‑led video content, we’d love to see it.
You’ll thrive here if you’re
- A self‑starter with the mindset of you don’t wait to be told what to look for; you bring ideas, flag opportunities, and take initiative within a clear brief.
- Collaborative, and have a low‑ego working style - you’re comfortable executing within a clear creative direction, building on it with the Creative Producer rather than working in isolation.
- Willing to experiment - to try a different approach, test something new on set, and learn from what does and doesn’t work.
- Organised and can manage multiple briefs and deadlines simultaneously.
What you’ll get in return
Core working hours of 10:00-16:00. We’re all about flexibility when it comes to your hours! Feel free to adjust your schedule to fit your needs. Hybrid working: 3 days in the office per week. Work from anywhere for 2 weeks a year. 25 days holiday as well as...
