Know Your Client's Needs

Before the interview, take some time to understand the specific needs of the client you'll be supporting. Familiarise yourself with the responsibilities mentioned in the job description, like providing companionship and medication reminders. This will show your potential employer that you're genuinely interested and prepared.

Showcase Your Compassion

During the interview, highlight your compassionate nature. Share any relevant experiences where you've provided care or support to others, even if it's not formal caregiving. This will help demonstrate that you have the right attitude for this role, especially since the job requires a patient and attentive approach.

Be Pet-Friendly

Since the client has two cats, it’s essential to express your comfort around pets. If you have experience with animals, mention it! This can set you apart from other candidates and reassure the interviewer that you’ll create a calm environment for both the client and her furry companions.

Prepare Questions

Have a few thoughtful questions ready to ask during the interview. Inquire about the client's routine, preferences, or any specific challenges they might face. This shows that you’re proactive and genuinely interested in providing the best support possible.
