  • Location: Malvern Hills Science Park, United Kingdom
  • Hours: 37 hours
  • Reporting to: PR, Marketing and Communications Manager
  • Fixed Term Contract: 31st March 2027

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a small executive team to provide professional, high‑quality marketing and event support across WLEP services, including the Worcestershire Growth Hub, WorkWell and Skills initiatives.
  • Create social media marketing campaigns and content on platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, X and YouTube, aligned with WLEP’s Communications Plan.
  • Assist in developing email marketing campaigns, newsletters, press releases and blog/vlog posts promoting WLEP projects.
  • Maintain WLEP websites and manage SEO activities for Worcestershire Growth Hub, WorkWell and Skills projects.
  • Generate case studies for the WGH team.
  • Prepare presentations, reports and documents for print and digital resources.
  • Represent Worcestershire LEP at local and industry events.
  • Monitor and track digital performance of all marketing and communications activities across WLEP service areas.
  • Organise, update and develop local contact databases and CRM.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including WLEP teams, WGH clients and local authorities, on events and campaigns.
  • Support event delivery preparation and attendance, maintaining accurate delegate records.
  • Manage room bookings and allocations across internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing and communications delivery (essential).
  • Drive, initiative, motivation and professional credibility.
  • Strong time‑management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced copywriting abilities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (essential).
  • Experience creating engaging social media content using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro or other Adobe suite software (essential).
  • Previous experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Zoho Campaigns.
  • Ability to use a camera to take photos and videos during events for social media delivery (desirable).
  • Familiarity with analytics and social media performance monitoring (desirable).
