Herefordshire, Ludlow and North Shropshire College are looking for a practical and adaptable Estates Technician to support the maintenance and smooth running of our college sites.
The Role
- As part of the Estates team, you’ll help keep our buildings and grounds safe, clean, and welcoming.
- Duties include:
- General maintenance and repairs (basic plumbing, minor construction, electrical, furniture).
- Painting, decorating, and ensuring site presentation.
- Grounds work and cleaning support when needed.
- Caretaking tasks (opening/closing buildings, alarms, site security).
- Driving between sites, supplier visits, and occasional cover driving a minibus.
- Cleaning cover during staff absence or busy periods.
About You
- We’re looking for someone who is:
- Skilled in general repairs and maintenance.
- Flexible, organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- A good communicator with a friendly, approachable manner.
- Holder of a full UK driving licence (Category D essential).
Desirable experience/skills: trade qualifications, Health & Safety training, use of maintenance/grounds equipment, and experience in education or the public sector.
