Herefordshire College has a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join a high achieving department in a successful Further Education College.
The successful candidate will prepare, teach and mentor students in preparation for examinations across all three levels of the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification. Students are part-time, highly motivated and working toward a Certificate in Accounting through to a Diploma in Professional Accounting where they graduate as a professional member of the AAT.
The College’s student-centred approach to teaching and learning requires the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including with employers to aid student experience and to forge links for future employment in the local area.
The rate of achievement is above national average in this professional qualification, and the successful candidate should strive to maintain these standards as well as hold a relevant accounting qualification, industry experience and passion for the subject.
The post is for two and a half days per week. The candidate would ideally be able to deliver Costing/Management Accounting at all three levels; knowledge of VAT, payroll and business skills would be advantageous. A recognised teaching qualification would be highly desirable.
A comprehensive package of employee benefits is in place including a competitive salary, above average holiday entitlement, eligibility to join a defined benefit pension scheme with excellent financial contributions and a death in service grant, generous occupational sickness, maternity, paternity and shared parental leave pay schemes, ample on-site parking, access to CPD events, professional qualifications and recreational courses, flexible working policy, eye care voucher scheme, cycle to work scheme, wellbeing support, on-site gymnasium, and access to staff savings and local facilities.

We promote equality, safety and diversity and support the development of our staff both personally and professionally. HLNSC is committed to equality of opportunity, safeguarding including the Prevent Duty, and the welfare of all learners.
