The Safeguarding Team are looking for a resilient Safeguarding Lead to support the work of the Head of Safeguarding & Student Wellbeing across the college sites of Hereford and Holme Lacy campuses. This exciting role involves line management of staff within the mentoring team and providing professional support to mentors with individual case management. The postholder will also maintain a reduced caseload of students, delivering holistic wellbeing support within the college environment. The role is central to supporting students to enhance their safety, health, and overall wellbeing, while promoting retention and enabling them to achieve academic success. Working collaboratively with college staff and external partner agencies will be a key aspect of the role, ensuring coordinated and effective support for students.

Responsibilities:

  • Line management of staff within the mentoring team and providing professional support to mentors with individual case management.
  • Maintain a reduced caseload of students, delivering holistic wellbeing support within the college environment.
  • Support students to enhance their safety, health and overall wellbeing, while promoting retention and enabling academic success.
  • Collaborate with college staff and external partner agencies to ensure coordinated and effective support for students.

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Experience of providing pastoral and welfare related services for a range of client groups.
  • Drive, energy and enthusiasm for a pivotal safeguarding role.
