Construction is a growing and successful area within this Further Education College, graded Good by OFSTED in 2022. The department has strong achievement rates and works closely with employers to ensure learners develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required for employment and further study. We currently deliver Level 1 and Level 2 Plumbing programmes and are excited to be expanding our offer to include Level 3 Plumbing from September 2026.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, industry-experienced Lecturer / Course Tutor to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality practical and theory-based sessions across these programmes and support learners to achieve their full potential. Experience within the plumbing industry is essential. Applicants should hold a recognised teaching qualification or demonstrate a willingness to work towards one with the College's support. Experience of working with young people and adult learners in a Further Education or training environment would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the achievement, progress and wellbeing of all students through high-quality teaching, assessment and pastoral support. The role includes acting as a course tutor, supporting individual learning plans, monitoring attendance and progress, and contributing to course reviews and quality improvement activities.
