Construction is a growing and successful area within this Further Education College, graded Good by OFSTED in 2022. The department has strong achievement rates and works closely with employers to ensure learners develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required for employment and further study. We currently deliver Level 1 and Level 2 Electrical Installation programmes and are expanding to include Level 3 from September 2026.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, industry-experienced Lecturer / Course Tutor to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality practical and theory-based sessions across these programmes and support learners to achieve their full potential. Learners benefit from well-equipped workshops, strong employer links, work experience opportunities and supportive teaching teams focused on progression into apprenticeships, employment or higher-level study.

Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality practical and theory-based sessions across Level 1, Level 2 and planned Level 3 Electrical Installation programmes.
- Support learners to achieve their full potential and contribute to their achievement, progress and wellbeing through teaching, assessment and pastoral support.
- Act as a course tutor, support individual learning plans, monitor attendance and progress, and contribute to course reviews and quality improvement activities.
- Engage with employers to maintain strong links and ensure placement opportunities where appropriate.
- Experience within the electrical installation industry is essential.
- Applicants should hold a recognised teaching qualification or demonstrate a willingness to work towards one with the College's support.
- Experience of working with young people and adult learners in a Further Education or training environment would be advantageous.
