Counselling is placed within one of the largest departments in this highly successful Further Education College. We offer courses from level 1 through to Level 5. The department delivers outstanding provision with exceptional success rates. We would like to build upon this and appoint a dynamic, innovative and student centred lecturer who can motivate and support our learners.

This post provides an excellent opportunity for a highly qualified counsellor to join our team. We are seeking a counselling specialist who is keen to contribute to the teaching within the department. There will be opportunities to teach on a variety of programmes, so a higher counselling qualification would be very useful. Experience of teaching programmes is preferred for this role; however, we are also keen to hear from people with a counselling background who are interested in teaching, as we can support with appropriate training.

Lecturers in the Counselling Department work closely together following a common programme and using a variety of methods. The department is well resourced and the team is supportive. Emphasis is placed on sharing best practice and developing creative approaches to teaching and learning.

Job location: Hereford

Salary: £28.40 - £31.16 per hour (including holiday pay)
