Are you a qualified social worker with management or supervisory experience? Do you have experience as a Senior Practitioner or Advanced Practitioner?

You will lead an Assessment Team in Herefordshire, managing a group of staff who work directly with children and families. The role involves allocating and prioritising workloads, developing your team, ensuring quality service delivery and meeting performance targets.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the Assessment Team, including Team Manager, Managing Practitioner and Social Workers.
  • Allocate and prioritise workloads to ensure the child's needs are addressed first.
  • Develop and manage the team plan to meet objectives and performance targets.
  • Provide decision‐making, analysis and reporting on complex cases.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting reflection and continuous learning.
Eligibility and Qualifications
  • Hold a recognised social work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in statutory social care.
  • Skills in assessment, report writing, team leadership and complex case management.
  • UK‐based experience of at least two years (required for visa sponsorship).
