Herefordshire Community Wellbeing is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and professionally confident Triage Officer to join our welcoming and supportive team. Offering early intervention and signposting to support agencies where necessary to ensure housing related support is available to assist in sustaining tenancies.

What will you be doing?

To be the first point of contact in a busy but successful housing team, working with customers to support them to complete their homeless application, following a script so housing experience is not necessary although desirable if you have it. Customers could present in person or over the telephone, the post could alternate between both. Once the application is complete and you have collated all forms of identification the application is passed to be assessed.

About You

  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Confident to speak with customers on the telephone and in person
  • IT literate and able to use MS Outlook
  • Have basic office skills
