Corporate Director, Children and Young People (DCS)

Our children\’s social care services are on a journey of continuous improvement. Significant progress has been made under current leadership, and we are committed to further development as outlined in our Phase 3 Improvement Plan, leading up to our upcoming ILACS assessment.

Our Education, Early Years, and SEND services benefit from strong leadership, and following a positive SEND inspection outcome, we have a solid partnership plan to sustain and enhance our efforts.

We are seeking a permanent Corporate Director of Children and Young People to lead these services and create lasting impact.

As DCS, you will work closely with political leadership to realize their vision for high-quality, sustainable, and safe children\’s services, contributing to the \’Child Friendly Herefordshire\’ initiative.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about leading the next phase of improvement, with a proven track record in children\’s services enhancement, and will embody our \’THRIVE\’ values—placing children and young people at the center and empowering our workforce to deliver excellent services.
