The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.

This is a two day a week (15 hours) post, only open to current employees of the Trust. An exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Psychological therapist or appropriately qualified cognitive behavioural / EMDR therapist to work within the Worcestershire specialist perinatal mental health team.

You will work within a highly motivated and supportive community multi-disciplinary team providing psychological support as a key professional to clients with mental health difficulties in the perinatal period. The post holder will receive professional management from the Team Lead and clinical supervision from the Principal Psychologist. You will participate in other MDT activities such as group work, case reflection, and delivery of education sessions. There will also be opportunities to attend Trustwide psychology meetings and other professional development activities.

This is a fixed term post to provide cover for absence for a specific purpose that we anticipate will be required for 9 months. We reserve the right to end this contract sooner with appropriate notice. If you wish to be considered for a secondment, please gain permission from your Substantive Manager before applying.

Main duties of the job:

  • Working within the Herefordshire Perinatal team to provide psychological therapies on an individual and group basis.
  • Working as part of the team providing assessment and interventions.
  • Contributing to team processes including supervision, educational opportunities, and reflective practice.
  • Clinical work involves provision of psychological assessment and intervention to support physical and mental health and well-being during this crucial life transition.
  • With a perinatal frame of mind, we also focus on the experience of the baby, the parent-child relationship, as well as other members of the family system.
