Overview
Are you passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people and families? Do you thrive in a community setting where every day brings new opportunities to promote health and wellbeing? We are looking for dynamic Community Staff Nurses to join our 0-19 teams. Minimum hours, 22.5 hours over 3 days. You will join a skill mix team to deliver the Healthy Child Programme, driving forward the public health agenda through collaborative and innovative working. Youll work alongside Health Visitors, School Nurses, and other professionals to deliver high-quality care and support to children, young people, and their families across the community. You will be provided with specific training to support your move into this specialist area of practice. Professional development is supported and encouraged within the service, with opportunities to develop a special interest in High Impact Area work.
The Community Staff Nurse role is part of the skill mix team, led by Specialist Community Public Health Nurses, to deliver the Healthy Child Programme (HCP). You will need excellent communication and collaborative working skills to work with children, young people and families and other professionals to improve health outcomes in Worcestershire. You will do this through delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, Health Promotion and Education, Safeguarding and Early Intervention. Your focus will be on the health needs of the child or young person and ensuring their voice is heard. You will be supported to become confident in decision making and contributing to multi-agency meetings. This is a busy and challenging community-based role. We utilise virtual and digital technology to deliver elements of our service, and an element of agile working is supported in this role however, being able to meet the travel requirements of the role is essential.
