An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated Band 5 Community Staff Nurse (Health Visiting) to become part of the Worcestershire 0-19 Public Health Nursing Service. This role will be aligned with the Health Visiting team but work across the 0-19 Service.

You will be well supported and offered specific training in order to become competent and confident at the Community Public health nurse role, within the Health Visiting Team. You will learn how to support parents with health and development for their child, and their preparation and transition into school and support young people too.

We continue to offer a blend of home and office working with necessary equipment provided.

This is a part time post for 30 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

The Community Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering the Healthy Child Programme (HCP), supporting the health and developmental needs of children, young people, and families within the community. Under the direction of the Specialist Public Health Nurse, this role encompasses assessments, targeted interventions, emotional well-being support, and multi-agency collaboration as part of the Family Hub agenda. The Community Staff Nurse will actively participate in health promotion activities, developmental screenings, and early interventions to enhance public health outcomes across the 0-19 age range.

  • Experience in or gained through clinical placements, in community health, public health, or similar settings.
