Job summary

We would like to appoint aClinical/Counselling Psychologist to work in the AMH Neighbourhood MentalHealth Services (NMHS) in Worcestershire. Weare a pilot site for the Transformation Model working in the communityconsidering local need and linking with community services.

The development role starts on Band 7moving to Band 8a on successful completion of a development plan. We welcomeapplications for full/part time working. We provide face to face and virtualinterventions as clinically appropriate.

TheNMHS teams have integrated psychological pathways for individuals withmoderate/severe, severe/enduring and psychosis/bipolar presentations. The post holder will work on themoderate/severe pathway, applying Clinical/Counselling Psychology core valuesand clinical practice, working with a diverse service user group and with arange of complex mental health needs.They will encourage empowered service users to be active in their ownrecovery and encourage trauma informed care across the NMHS.

Main duties of the job

The post is integral to the NMHS, working with otherpsychologists and mental health professionals. They will be a valued member ofthe psychology provision within the Trust.

As a development role, supported personal andprofessional development will be a priority.

They will provide psychological assessments leading tothe development of psychological formulations and individual and/or groupinterventions.

They will receive both clinical supervision and linemanagement. Across the service we offera variety of supervision for evidence-based models and invest in model specificsupervision.

They will contribute to the development ofcommunity-based adult mental health services. This would be in line with keynational and local priorities and with local partners. This includes contributing to the appliedpsychology ways of working as appropriate. This work will endeavour to includemore co-produced psychologically and trauma informed service delivery.
