Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse looking to develop your career in General Practice?
We are looking for 2 x Trainee Practice Nurses to join our friendly and supportive Practice Nurse Team, working 30-37.5 hours weekly. This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who is two years post qualification and is looking to develop skills and experience within Primary Care.
You will be clinically supervised by our experienced Lead Practice Nurses, and managed by our Clinical Services Manager, with a structured training plan as you develop your skills.
Initially you will undertake some formal training in either Diabetes or Asthma, alongside learning the wider aspects of Practice Nursing. You will gradually develop your knowledge and confidence to deliver high quality general medical services to our patient population.
We are looking for someone who
- has two years post qualification experience
- Is enthusiastic to learn
- Enthusiastic about a career in practice Nursing
- Able to develop the confidence to work alone, but equally comfortable working collaboratively
- You should have access to your own transport as home visiting may be a requirement of the role

Initially concentrating on key areas
- Managing patients with either Diabetes or Asthma
- Carrying our immunisation and vaccination schedules for adults and children
- Simple and complex wound care
Further training in
- Women's health including smears
- Home visits for patients with Long Term Conditions
- Management of leg ulcers
