The predicted salary is between 12 - 13 £ per hour.
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Rota Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the practice. This is a part-time 16 hours position and is central to supporting high quality patient care by planning, maintaining and updating clinical and non-clinical rotas across HMG systems.
The ideal candidate will bring strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience using EMIS would be a significant advantage, helping you to navigate our systems confidently from day one. You will be motivated, dynamic and able to communicate effectively with colleagues, clinicians and external partners, while remaining calm and solution focused under pressure.
In this role, you will ensure rotas are kept accurate and up to date, highlight staffing gaps, record absences, action changes, and support the wider team by maintaining clear communication and following established procedures. Main duties of the job
- Ensure rotas are up to date and accurate.
- Maintain 6 weeks of rota on system.
- Flag staffing shortages or areas of concern to Senior Rota Coordinator (in SRC absence Rota Implementation Officer).
- Record staff absences and notify appropriate Managers/Supervisors.
- Action any changes to rotas as required by Rota Implementation Officer/Operations Manager.
- Complete organisational tasks.
- Work to Standard Operating procedures.
- Communicate with outside agencies for planning.
- Ensure rotas maintain the principle of equity and fairness of workload undertaken across all areas.

Qualifications
- A good standard of general education, including English and Maths at GCSE level or equivalent.
- A demonstrable commitment to professional development.
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or equivalent experience.
Experience
- Experience of dealing with the public/patients.
- Experience of working with computer packages.
- Administrator experience in an office environment.
- Experience of EMIS clinical system.
- Experience of working in a GP practice or other primary care environment.
- Experience of telephone call handling.
