Playing at the iconic MandM Edgar Street Stadium, the club competes in the National League North and delivers football, events, and community engagement year-round. We are seeking a dynamic, creative Media & Communications Officer to lead and evolve our digital presence and storytelling across football and non-football operations.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

To be responsible for the delivery of Hereford FC’s media output, driving fan engagement, growing audiences, and telling the story of the club across all media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop all official social media channels
  • Plan and deliver creative content strategies
  • Grow engagement and digital audiences
  • Maintain the official website with regular updates
  • Manage the club’s image and media library
  • Conduct and publish interviews with players and management
  • Produce post-match content and media updates, including the editing and publication of match highlights
  • Attend all home and away first team fixtures
  • Act as first point of contact for media enquiries
  • Liaise with local and national media outlets
  • Coordinate press accreditation for home fixtures
  • Ensure weekly press obligations are met
  • Support commercial, community, and operational departments with media needs
  • Assist in marketing and content planning
  • Maintain supporter and stakeholder email databases
  • Deliver regular email communications
