We are looking for an Outreach and Student Recruitment Co‑ordinator to be a passionate champion of Hereford College of Arts (HCA), creative education and careers in the Creative Industries. The Outreach and Student Recruitment Co‑ordinator will play a key role in delivering partnership‑led recruitment strategy, coordinating and delivering outreach activities, events, workshops and programmes that inspire and support the next generation of creative students.
Key responsibilities include:
- Representing the College at UCAS fairs and recruitment events.
- Delivering engaging presentations to groups of students, teachers and advisers.
- Visiting key feeder schools and colleges and coordinating on‑campus taster sessions and outreach activity with curriculum staff.
- Maintaining accurate outreach and recruitment data, producing routine reports and newsletter communications.
- Ensuring engagement activity is informed by strong recruitment intelligence.
- Traveling across the region and working evening and Saturday shifts to support recruitment events and College activity.
The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, highly organised and motivated, able to build strong relationships with schools, colleges and key stakeholders. They should be comfortable presenting to groups, representing the College professionally and tailoring activity to the needs of different audiences and partners. A strong interest in creative arts education is essential, along with enthusiasm for supporting progression into creative study and careers. Experience delivering workshops, outreach or teacher CPD activity is welcomed, although subject‑specific sessions will often be delivered in collaboration with academic staff and students.
