We are seeking a Teacher of Learning Skills to join our dedicated team at Hereford Cathedral School. The department provides personalised support for students with diverse learning needs, including dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and ASC. Working closely with students, parents, and staff, we offer one‑to‑one sessions, small group work, and in‑class strategies to ensure all students can access the curriculum and reach their full potential. Emphasis is placed on building confidence, developing independent learning skills, and fostering a positive attitude towards education.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the provision of the Learning Skills programme from Reception to Year 9.
- Identify and address students’ individual learning needs early, implementing appropriate interventions.
- Maintain regular communication with families and staff to monitor progress.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small group support, and deliver in‑class strategies to promote independent learning.
