Are you an experienced Paramedic or an Adult Nurse within the speciality of emergency, urgent or prehospital care, registered with the Health Care Professions Council or the Nursing and Midwifery Council?

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Training, you will lead the delivery of pre-hospital care training to operational firefighters. This training incorporates First Response Emergency Care (FREC) to all operational personnel, first aid courses to non-operational personnel and bespoke training to specialist teams such as our Rope Rescue, Water Rescue and Urban Search and Rescue teams.As an integral member of the training directorate, you will oversee the development and delivery of casualty care training for new and existing staff, while maintaining oversight of the Service’s clinical assurance and governance of pre-hospital care capability.
About the Person
You will be a strong, proactive leader, motivated to manage a key function within the training department and deliver focused training services. We are seeking a clinician who can support cultural change, employee relations, innovation and continuous improvement in a challenging and changing environment.
The successful applicant will be a registered Paramedic or Nurse. You will have an in-depth and clear understanding of current best practice in pre-hospital care and Joint Royal College Ambulance Liaison Committee Guidelines.
The role of Clinical Education Lead requires an individual with a visible leadership style, excellent influencing skills and personal values aligned to those of Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.
Additional Information
Whilst you will be required to work from Bromsgrove Fire Station, the role requires travel throughout the two Counties and therefore a driving licence is essential.
Whilst this role is advertised as full-time 37 hours per week, there is flexibility for these hours to be reduced to 30 per week if desired. In addition, the on-call allowance element of this role can be increased if additional on-call cover can be provided.
