We deliver behavioural science to consumer brands.

We're looking for a data scientist to join and make the role their own. We're the first company to build a product that unpicks human behaviour and we're looking for somebody who is energised by the uncertainty that comes with implementing something new. You’ll be joining a small team as the person who can focus on identifying and delivering the insights and features customers want. This role sits at the intersection of data science, product and implementation. The successful candidate will be working alongside our customer success team to identify business insights that are valuable to clients. They will work alongside Product and Engineering to turn these into features usable for all customers via our SaaS platform.

We are looking for someone who is able to translate business requirements into data science questions, and then design and prototype the product features that answer them. They will be confident presenting to customers as part of the prototype development process and gathering feedback to prioritise product development. This is a fast paced and strategically important role, reporting into one of our Co-Founders, Dr Ed Barter.

Why Herdify? Over the last few years we’ve built a product that works and is delivering benefits to brands. The biggest personality in Behavioural science for marketing, Rory Sutherland, has said "Herdify fundamentally change the way marketing is done". Now, as we scale we need to ensure our product remains the best in the market, and that’s where you come in.

  • Who is driven to solve problems for customers by designing products they use.
  • With proven experience developing and selecting methods to present data in an engaging way, to answer business questions.
  • Who can assess and prioritise features and requirements for a product.
  • Who has experience defining requirements and communicating them to a technical audience.
  • Who has excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, including being comfortable presenting data to non-technical audiences and developing narratives that engage them.
  • Who doesn’t look to be told what to do; they take what is working and run with it, while applying their own skills.
  • Who is organised and detail orientated, with experience documenting data science or data analysis projects or features.
  • Who is creative and has a proven record of identifying how data can best be used to understand and communicate business value.

Nice to have:

  • Experience producing production level code.
  • Experience working in marketing, with campaign data.
  • Experience in product management.
  • Experience with geographical datasets.
  • Experience delivering training to colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, prototype and test features that increase the value customers get and perceive to get from the product.
  • Develop and support the standardised presentation of data outputs that demonstrate value to customers. This will be through our SaaS platform and also by supporting Customer Success.
  • Manage the release and adoption of new features to customers, including training the wider Herdify team and supporting communication via marketing materials.
  • Identify and prototype features that integrate the delivery of Customer Success into the SaaS platform.
  • Develop ideas from customers into features that improve the product including: Features to solve additional business problems, Features that increase the touchpoints of the product across a process that it is already used in, Quality of life enhancements.

What you’ll get:

  • Stock options.
