Our Consultant Business Analysts have been there and got hard-won experience. They’re able to apply their know-how and experience to provide tailored, pragmatic, high-impact analysis that is inspired by best practice but not constrained by it. You’ll be a people person who is motivated by building long-lasting relationships and wanting to make things better for our clients and their teams and customers.
Responsibilities
- A passionate business analyst who has experience in more than just process modelling and requirements engineering; you can draw upon your know-how to get stuff done for our clients in a pragmatic and impactful way.
- Experienced in business analysis in different contexts from small improvement initiatives, through to user-centred product-led delivery, and ‘big-system’ transformation.
- A relationship builder who is able to create and foster long term relationships with clients in order to build Herd’s brand as a trusted partner whilst embracing ‘non-consultancy vibes’.
- Obsessed with outcomes: delivering what’s needed for the client, when it’s needed.

Desirable experience
- We do most of our work in Central Government, Local Authorities, Higher Education, and Charities, therefore experience in any of these sectors would be a plus!
- First-hand experience of working to the GOV.UK Service Standard would be another plus.
- Any experience in data analysis using tools like Power BI, SQL, or Python.

Security clearance
Due to the types of clients we work with, you may be expected to undergo security vetting up to and including Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) levels. If you have any reason to believe that you may not pass such vetting, you must declare this as soon as possible, and this must be before any job offer is accepted.

Location
Hybrid. Some expectation to travel to client sites as and when needed. You’re expected to visit our Sheffield office at least once per a month for a team meeting. Also where possible, we encourage people to work from the Sheffield office once a week.
