Herc Rentals is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Truck Driver to transport construction equipment between our branch and local job sites. This role plays a key part in ensuring our customers receive their equipment safely, on time, and in excellent condition.
What you will do...
- Transport, deliver, and retrieve construction equipment between the branch and customer job sites
- Operate a large commercial vehicle in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner
- Secure loads properly to prevent damage or safety hazards during transport
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Promote professionalism and a strong customer service attitude in every interaction
- Follow all applicable traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, branch staff, and customers regarding delivery status
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of general truck driving experience
- Experience driving and towing trailers of various sizes
- Flatbed truck driving experience preferred
- Experience hauling construction or heavy equipment preferred
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) as required by role/state
