We are seeking a hands-on, customer-focused Floor Care Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining floor care equipment in our shop and occasionally at customer job sites. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and has strong electrical diagnostic skills combined with hands-on repair experience.
What you will do...
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain floor care equipment and related machinery.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
- Service and repair equipment in the shop on a daily basis.
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
- Determine required repairs, replacement parts, and corrective actions for malfunctioning equipment.
- Travel to customer job sites as needed to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues on-site.
- Test equipment following repairs to verify proper operation and safety standards.
- Accurately document service work, repairs, parts used, and maintenance records.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment issues, repair recommendations, and operating best practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support additional service and maintenance activities as required.

Requirements

- Experience servicing commercial floor care equipment brands such as Tennant, Husqvarna, Bartell, or similar industrial equipment manufacturers.
- Previous experience in equipment rental, construction equipment, industrial maintenance, or service technician environments.
- Experience performing field service and customer site support.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic experience.
- Ability to identify equipment faults and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Experience working with commercial floor care equipment, including scrubbers, sweepers, burnishers, and related equipment.
- Solid mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and equipment systems.
- Customer-facing experience with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service priorities.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks; stretch, turn, twist, and reach overhead; bend, crouch, squat, kneel, and stoop for extended periods of time.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites when required.
- Basic computer skills for service documentation and work orders.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and components safely.
- Occasional weekends may be required based on business needs.
- Ability to safely lift 50 pounds frequently.
