The ER&A analyst role is part of the ER&A global team and plays a critical role in developing, implementing, and overseeing the firm-wide enterprise risk management and internal audit programs. Working closely with the Head of Enterprise Risk & Assurance in identifying, assessing, assuring, and mitigating risks that may impact HSF Kramer’s financial stability, reputation, operational and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the team in the delivery of the annual Enterprise Risk and Assurance programme agreed by the Risk Management and Audit Committee (RMAC).
  • Ensuring that the plan remains relevant and risk-focused and addresses the areas agreed to be the highest priority throughout the year.
  • Supporting the design, development, and implementation of a robust, effective, consistent, and integrated enterprise risk management framework.
  • Planning, organising and conducting internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan, including regulatory, compliance and operational internal audits.
  • Travelling internationally to HSF Kramer offices and conducting their annual office audits to assess business processes, financial controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Assessing the associated risk surrounding processes and resources and making continuous recommendations for improvement that align with the firm strategy and best practice.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the resolution of prior internal audit and assurance review recommendations in line with agreed deadlines.
  • Assisting with quarterly updates of the Firm's top and emerging risks, and producing insightful management information.
  • Building and managing relationships that support the operation of our risk framework around the network.
  • Supporting the team on ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Professional risk management and/or internal audit qualification(s).
  • Experience with risk frameworks, policies and procedures and good understanding of core risk management concepts.
  • Proven internal audit and risk management experience, preferably with international businesses; experience conducting AML/CTF and ISO internal audits is preferred.
  • Experience in a legal environment/partnership or professional services firm (preferable).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, project management, analytical, problem solving and presentation/report writing skills.
  • Initiative-taking with an ability to work independently as well as in teams.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (unlikely to exceed 15%).
