Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer is creating a team of analytical legal minds with investments in cutting‑edge technology in our Digital Legal Delivery (Digital) practice. This team supports businesses undergoing digitisation projects and those seeking to improve the delivery of legal services.
In Legal, we help shape how the firm delivers legal matters to clients, focusing on efficiency and collaboration across sectors. Our expertise includes contract management, document review, volume claims, remediation, and due diligence.
In Legal Technology, we deploy established technology efficiently across client matters, combining expertise in document automation, custom development, eDiscovery, and data analytics.
In Digital Change, we innovate and experiment with legal technology to provide better solutions for clients while ensuring proper governance to minimise risk and maximise opportunities.
This role is for a senior solicitor in a team specialising in providing legal services to investment funds clients. Experience in Funds and/or Regulatory is preferred, but candidates with corporate/commercial experience willing to adapt will also be considered.
Key responsibilities include:

The successful candidate will have access to our 'Funds Academy' for foundation funds training over a structured 6-week programme. Our Funds team provides a wide range of legal services to major asset management clients, including complex restructurings, regulatory projects, investment due diligence, and operational support.
Senior Solicitors supervise the work of Solicitors, Trainees, and Legal Analysts, supporting strategic management and delivery of matters. They are expected to lead projects and develop processes for the wider team.
Qualifications, skills & experience required:
- Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales or Northern Ireland (other common law jurisdictions considered)
- Minimum of 3 years' PQE, primarily within Corporate (including Commercial and/or Funds)
- Proven experience supervising a legal team
- Must be UK-based, living at least 100 miles away from a HSF Kramer London office
