Support the management of the firm's regulatory and commercial risks associated with New Business Intake (NBI). Support the management of Client and Matter data through the matter lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the matter team to ensure new transactions are set up optimally to meet both external client and legal requirements and internal reporting/billing requirements.
- Assistance with opening of new clients/matters and generation of matter numbers.
- Monitor the setup of clients/matters to ensure compliance with the regulations and billing/rates requirements, liaising where relevant with the Business Finance, Risk Management and Tax Teams.
- Actioning changes to clients and matters as requested by matter teams.
- Assistance with the setup of eBilling clients.
- Using the information held within the Practice Management system to assist internal clients (lawyers/secretaries) by responding to their enquiries.
- Liaising with the other New Business Intake teams to ensure a joined up and efficient process for the fee earners and PAs.
- Identify process improvements to the internal NBI Matter Management processes.
- Ad hoc project support for the NBI team globally.
Skills / Experience
- Educated to degree level.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal, written and face to face communication skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
- An innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies.
