Mentoring and development of Events Assistant. Responsibility for delivering strategic client events, managing BD initiated events and oversight of ad-hoc requests, ensuring recommendations and event objectives align with the firm's sponsorship programmes and client strategy.
Supporting the Senior Manager with the firmwide Events programme, in particular flagship sponsorship opportunities, firmwide memberships and strategic programmes to deliver competitive client experiences. Execution of the senior networking programme aimed across our C-suite client base, including scoping of relevant topics, speakers and guest list management.
Implementation and management of the practice group conference model and guidelines. Acting in an advisory role to provide guidance to committees for operational delivery of the firm's conference schedule, including maintaining relationships with agencies and service level agreements. Efficient management and utilisation of the firm's event and hospitality memberships and debenture opportunities. Providing clear communication of such opportunities to the business. Conducting supplier reviews to support achievement of cost efficiencies through effective negotiation.
Planning and delivery of events and corporate hospitality to align with the firm's ambition, strategic choices and supporting key network programmes such as Alumni, D&I, Responsible Business. Oversee the organisation of major non-client events i.e. Partnership and Divisional Dinners. Liaison with the events committee and stakeholders to effect budget management decisions.
Maintaining industry knowledge and market trends and implementing learnings in the Events Team hub and across communications. Developing ideas and proposals and presentation of proposals, and operating events to deadlines. Management of supplier/vendors for each event, ensuring a technical understanding of what is required, and reviewing relationships to achieve maximum return on investment. Oversee the communication of forthcoming events and corporate hospitality information to internal clients through the Events Update, Calendar and Hub.
Building best practice and guidelines with key stakeholders to apply to all events management.
Key Performance Indicators- Strong professional services background and a proven track record working within a successful events division.
- High level strategic planning experience, strong leadership skills, exceptional organisational ability and an excellent level of attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in order to gain commitment and buy in from others while displaying tact, diplomacy, professionalism and patience.
