Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prioritise and delegate work tasks; update supervising partner on progress.
- Build client relationships ā provide excellent client service and prompt responses and progress updates.
- Support the firm and others ā build effective relationships, uphold firm values, and assist with preparation of legal precedents, articles and marketing materials.
- Comply with risk requirements, firm policies and all relevant professional responsibilities and legislation.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Between 2ā5 years of post-qualified experience, preferably in a strong UK Competition practice.
- Consideration of candidates from transactional backgrounds or mixed transactional/dispute practices.
- Regulatory experience and experience of working on mergers desirable but not essential.
- Academic excellence ā at least a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) and solicitor examinations passed first time. Include full academic details, grades, subjects and transcripts.
- Bright selfāstarter, excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate with individuals at all levels.
- Strong legal skills: complex drafting, negotiation and project management; good peopleāmanagement and businessādevelopment skills.
- Full understanding of lawāfirm profitability and key drivers for financial efficiency; ability to manage costs and budgets.
