Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the firm's global corporate security program (policy, standards, procedures, tools).
  • Apply industry best practices and ensure compliance with relevant national legislation.
  • Monitor security trends and geopolitical risks; advise leadership on threats that could impact the firm.
  • Support incident reporting and investigation procedures working with the BC&R and local security focal points; analyse trends and recommend solutions from a Corporate Security standpoint.
  • Support Office Operations teams on physical security measures, including access control, asset protection, and facility security.
  • As the Corporate Security SME, support the Incident management and emergency response for incidents affecting personnel, property, and business operations.
  • Provide input and advice to the Internal Audit team on conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, ensuring effectiveness of physical and operational controls.
  • Support workplace violence prevention and response programs.
  • Collaborate with the Travel team for travel risk management and provide direct support for incident response and business continuity and resilience teams as required.
  • Assist with robust security risk management and all-hazards incident response plans globally.
  • Offer security resource support and expertise during crises to facilitate successful resolution.
  • Liaise with IT Security to ensure alignment between physical and cyber security measures, while focusing on non-technical aspects of corporate security such as facility protection, personnel safety, and crisis management.
  • Work with Office Operations to establish and maintain a global network of Security Focal Points (SFPs); provide coaching and assurance and support for local offices.
  • Advise senior leadership on corporate security matters.
  • Contribute to the completeness of the Local Response Team playbooks from a Corporate Security standpoint as appropriate.
  • Assume the Corporate Security SME role in supporting the incident response process.
  • Continuously improve security and incident response processes through lessons learned and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications, skills, and experience

  • Degree or equivalent experience in security risk management, resilience, incident/disaster management, or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience within Corporate Security and Incident Response (Crisis Management).
  • Demonstrable experience in physical security management, asset protection, and crisis response.
  • Experience implementing corporate security programs and setting standards/objectives.
  • Proven ability to lead/support non-specialists in security strategies.
  • International experience across various legislation and threat environments.
  • Strategic and operational risk assessment methodology experience.
  • Experience with security service providers and technical solutions for physical security.
  • Ability to assess geopolitical, social, cultural, economic, and security developments.
  • Incident management and resolution strategy experience.
  • Post-incident investigation and action point application.
  • Cross-departmental liaison and influence.
  • Training development and delivery across geographies and seniority levels.
  • Performance-based strategy application for continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of international security and incident management best practices.
  • Existing security network and intelligence monitoring tools.
  • Competence with emergency response planning and training systems/tools.
  • An innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies.
