As an Events Manager for the Europe & Africa region, you will play a key role in planning and delivering impactful events that align with our business objectives and enhance the experience of our Distributors. Reporting to the Director, Events Communications & Recognition, you will oversee various elements of the regional event calendar, from large-scale Extravaganzas to virtual and in-person conferences. This role includes 5-6 planned international trips per year, and you will also lead a direct report to support event operations.
How would you contribute:
- Event Planning: Plan and manage elements of the annual calendar for the region, inclusive of physical and virtual events, vacations, Extravaganza's and more.
- Event Coordination and Logistics: Identify and secure optimal venues, ensuring they meet the expectations of the Distributors and key stakeholders. Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including travel, accommodation, event set up, etc.
- Budget management: Working with the Director of Events to understand the budget allocation for each element of the event, manage and reconcile each line you are responsible for.
- Supplier / Vendor management: Partnering with key stakeholders and third-party vendors to negotiate contracts/terms, as required, and manage the ongoing relationship.
- Event Technology: Partnering with key internal stakeholders and vendors to implement and manage technology platforms to improve the Distributor experience, including registration, agendas, translation, virtual event platforms, etc.
- Collaboration: Partnering with peers, colleagues, and wider teams, across the Regional events to ensure best practices are shared.
- Brand compliance: Ensuring all event materials and activities align with our brand guidelines, tone of voice, and business objectives.
- Trends and market research: Continually seek out new trends and innovations to enhance event experience and improve efficiencies. Lead on the 'Offsite' elements for Regional Events (everything outside of the main venue).
What You'll Bring to the Team:
- Minimum 2-3 years of people leadership experience, including managing direct reports.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across multiple teams and senior levels.
- Track record of successfully managing large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
- Experience working in multi-market environments, understanding cultural and linguistic nuances.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel multiple times a year for regional events.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- Proactive and fast-paced, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong virtual and in-person presentation abilities.
