Herb Chambers Hyundai of Auburn currently has an immediate opening for an Automotive Parts Counter Person. Full benefits package available.

Job Purpose: Sells automotive parts by taking and clarifying customer orders; retrieving and selling new and replacement automotive parts; receiving and recording new parts inventory; maintaining parts databases; maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Duties:

  • Answering phones
  • Producing parts for the service techs
  • Handling parts deliveries
  • Taking customer orders by listening to and clarifying requests; identifying automotive parts; offering and explaining alternative solutions.
  • Completing sales by entering purchased items into sales/inventory system; obtaining payment; adding purchase to credit account; issuing sales receipts.
  • Maintaining parts inventory by verifying supplies; placing orders when stock reaches reorder points.
  • Stocking items by unpacking, arranging, and placing items in bins and on shelves; updating inventory system accordingly.
  • Receiving returned items by inspecting, returning payment, issuing credit, re-packing, and re-shelving; returning damaged items to supplier.
  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment by following safety and security standards and procedures; complying with relevant codes.
  • Updating job knowledge through participation in educational opportunities and reading about new products.
  • Achieving organizational goals by accepting ownership of tasks and exploring opportunities to add value.
