Join the Red Van Plumbers Air Conditioning Team. The role is primarily focused on domestic air conditioning installations across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and surrounding areas. We’re currently recruiting experienced Air Conditioning Installation Engineers, primarily to carry out domestic air conditioning installations. You’ll work at customers’ homes installing air conditioning systems safely, professionally and in accordance with current regulations and manufacturer requirements. As one of our engineers, you’ll represent Red Van Plumbers in customers’ homes. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in both their technical work and customer service. Depending on your experience, there may also be opportunities to carry out servicing, maintenance and fault finding.
We’re looking for experienced air conditioning engineers who can confidently carry out domestic installations to a high standard. You should have:
- Experience installing domestic air conditioning systems
- F-Gas certification
- Good knowledge of current regulations and safe working practices
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A full UK driving licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
Experience in air conditioning servicing, maintenance and repairs would be an advantage. We’re particularly interested in hearing from multi-skilled engineers. This vacancy is primarily for domestic air conditioning installation. But experience with commercial systems, heat pumps, plumbing or heating could open up additional opportunities within Red Van Plumbers. You’ll mainly install air conditioning systems in customers’ homes across our service area. Typical responsibilities will include:
- Installing domestic air conditioning systems
- Commissioning systems and ensuring they are operating correctly
- Working in accordance with manufacturer instructions and current regulations
- Carrying out appropriate checks before completing an installation
- Diagnosing faults where required
- Servicing and maintaining air conditioning systems where appropriate
- Identifying and managing risks while working on site
- Completing work accurately and within agreed schedules
- Keeping customers informed about the work being carried out
- Liaising with our coordinators, supervisors and management team
- Completing job information using a company phone or tablet
- Maintaining a clean and presentable company van, equipment and uniform
- Representing Red Van Plumbers professionally when working in customers’ homes
