Do you have experience of working with diverse or marginalised communities and supporting volunteers? We are looking for someone who is passionate and skilled to support others on their journey from diagnosis of the Hepatitis B Virus to being in care. The role requires excellent communication and organisational skills. Creativity and innovation welcome!
We would particularly welcome people who have been impacted by the virus either personally or through family/friends, but not essential as full training will be provided as part of the induction process.
You will develop and support a network of volunteer peers delivering key hepatitis B messages across Leeds, working with communities including South Asian, African, Caribbean and Eastern European populations. Your role will involve:
- Organising and delivering awareness and testing events in community settings
- Building partnerships with local organisations
- Supporting individuals to access testing, treatment and ongoing care
