Reporting to the Quality Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience in this field to join our Quality Team. The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves designing quality processes, conducting inspections, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and manufacturing efficiency. Daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Quality Management Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards and procedures. Ensure compliance with industry regulations (ISO 9001) and company policies.
- Inspection and Testing: Oversee product inspections and testing processes to ensure specifications are met. Analyze test data, identify defects, and recommend corrective actions.
- Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions: Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce costs. Support or conduct capability studies and statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
- Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality standards are met. Conduct supplier audits when necessary and assess vendor performance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare quality documentation, including inspection plans, control plans, and quality reports.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams and value streams.
Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:
- Degree qualified in a related field or 4 years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Capable auditor (preferably lead auditor certified but not essential).
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in tools like Minitab, SPC software, or ERP systems.
- Full and valid driving license in good standing.
- Technical knowledge: familiarity with quality standards (ISO, Six Sigma).

Monday – Thursday: 7am to 4pm
Friday: 7am to 12pm (39-hour week)
