We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced operator/setter to join our Turning department based at our site in Braintree working the day shift.
Responsibilities
- Setting and operating Fixed Head CNC Turning machines, installing programmes and proofing with the tools list and work instructions, producing a valid first‑off component.
- Loading and operating machines to meet desired quantities.
- Conducting in‑process inspection, checking against drawings and specifications to ensure accurate and high‑standard production.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3 years previous experience in setting and operating CNC lathes.
- Experience of reading and understanding engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Proficiency in a range of measuring equipment and inspection techniques.
- Ability to work productively independently and as part of a team.
Hours of Work
Mon – Thu 8:30am to 5pm; Friday 8:30am to 4pm (39 hours per week). Working hours can be confirmed at interview. Additional hours at overtime rate available to suit business demands.
