We are seeking a Principal Medical Writer who can bring extensive expertise in medical writing and strategic project management to drive our mission forward.
Job Details: In this role, you will take a leading position in overseeing value communication projects and ensuring high-quality deliverables across various client engagements. Your insight and leadership will directly influence project outcomes and enhance the quality of our outputs.
Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of high-quality value communication projects and multi-project programmes
  • Oversee and mentor junior and mid-level medical writers, fostering a collaborative environment focused on professional growth
  • Engage with clients to discuss project objectives and deliverables ensuring alignment with their strategic needs
  • Manage project timelines and budgets, maintaining excellent client communication and reporting on project progress
  • Lead on proposal development and project pitches
  • Responsible for quality review and validation of project deliverables ensuring materials are fit-for-purpose and meet client requirements
  • Responsible for account development and partnership building as well as identifying new opportunities
  • Participate in internal initiatives to enhance processes and capabilities within the medical writing team
Requirements
Skills and Experience:
  • Significant experience in medical writing within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries
  • Demonstrated expertise of developing value and reimbursement dossiers, value stories, objection handlers, posters, slide decks, report and peer-reviewed publications.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to present complex information clearly to varied audiences
  • Growing experience in building client partnerships
  • PhD or equivalent experience in a scientific or healthcare discipline
  • Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
