Are you an experienced Specification Technologist looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised individual to join our client – a leader in their food category.
The role: As the Senior Specification Technologist, you will be responsible for completing retailer, customer, and own-brand product specifications across multiple accounts, including Top4 Grocery and Discounter retail customers. You will manage and administer retailer systems, ensuring specifications and artwork meet the highest accuracy standards and deadlines. You will be responsible for approving supplier specifications and ensuring compliance with retailer/customer codes of practice and food legislation. In addition, you will support the NPD team with nutritional calculations and cross-checking documentation and contribute to pre and post-launch reviews and ensuring specifications meet KPIs.
You:
- Knowledge of major retailer specification systems
- Experience in managing junior team members
- Strong understanding of retailer requirements and codes of practice
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience within bakery or complex food products
