We are looking for someone with great resilience to become a valuable part of our team. The successful candidate will be supporting our wonderful students during the night. This may include providing medications, supporting personal care where needed, or just making them feel comfortable. As part of the Residential Student Support Team, you will be vital in helping our students to get the most out of living away from home in a safe and supportive environment. You will also be responsible for carrying out any checks required for individual students in a professional and timely fashion throughout the night. It is vital that you accurately record and report students' needs and progress throughout the night.

We know working with care can bring unsociable hours and regular changing rotas, so at Henshaws we offer our staff a fixed rota. This allows our staff to fit work around life and not life around work.

Salary: £13.89 per hour weekday evenings / £15.39 per hour weekend evenings

Weeks: 52 per year

Annual leave: 5 weeks plus 10 days bank holidays

Interviews will take place weekly until roles are filled, which may result in this role ending earlier than the closing date. Internal applicants should complete an expression of interest detailing their skills and experience for the role.

Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to assist students with their personal care requirements as needed, whilst maintaining their dignity.
  • Ability to support students in a way that promotes their independence and development in the education setting.
  • NVQ 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to complete in an agreed timeframe.
  • Willingness to undertake and achieve Skills for Care Induction Award within 12 weeks if no formal care qualifications.
