The position of Inventory Control operative covers all jobs and work in the warehouses relating to the counting, checking and investigating of stock database and integrity; in particular the accurate and timely processing of Cycle counts and follow up communication with buyers and relevant others via the emailing system.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To fully comply with all Health and Safety requirements and instructions given.
- To maintain and keep up to date with all relevant training as directed by your Team Leader.
- Running Cycle Counts from the system.
- Undertake Cycle counts as per the cyclical plan as directed.
- Rotating or removal of stock when and if required.
- Processing of Cycle Count using the system.
- Checking Variances on the cycle count.
- Emailing relevant TSM’s using email system, including for information or authorisation.
- Disposing of stock as appropriately directed.
- To maintain the highest standards of Housekeeping by adhering to cleaning plans as per instruction from your Team Leader.
- Cover other duties as may be requested from time to time by any member of the IC Dept. Management Team.
In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:
- Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
- Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
Physical Activities:
This position will be working in a warehouse environment, utilising typical warehouse equipment i.e. steps etc. this will also involve lifting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills are essential for covering the core duties of the role.
- Someone with good communication and problem solving skills would be an asset.
- Flexibility, Reliability of working hours and the ability to work overtime when required are essential.
- The ability to work as part of a team within the IC team.
- Co-operating with other departments is a necessary requirement for this position.
