Seeking a Specialist Orthodontist to join our brand-new, state-of-the-art orthodontic practice in Alum Rock, Birmingham. The practice is due to open approximately November 2026 and will have 5 surgeries with a built-up patient list.
The role is to work full-time or part-time hours (permanent) with flexibility around working days. Remuneration is highly competitive and dependent on experience and the agreed working arrangement.

You will be supported by an experienced management team, qualified dental nurses, and orthodontic therapists. Established in 2022, we are a growing multi-practice group providing general dental and orthodontic services. About the role:
The successful candidate will provide high-quality orthodontic assessment, treatment planning, and treatment for NHS and private patients. You will work collaboratively with orthodontic therapists, dental nurses, referring clinicians, and the wider management team to deliver an efficient, patient-centred orthodontic service. As this is a brand-new practice, you will have the opportunity to help shape the clinical service, support team development, and establish a positive, high-performing culture from the outset.
Key responsibilities:
- Undertaking orthodontic consultations, assessments and treatment planning
- Providing NHS and private orthodontic treatment to a high clinical standard
- Prescribing, supervising and reviewing treatment delegated to orthodontic therapists
- Maintaining accurate and contemporaneous clinical records
- Supporting clinical governance, audit and quality-improvement activities
- Working collaboratively with referring dentists and other healthcare professionals
- Supporting the development and growth of the practice’s private orthodontic service
- Providing clinical leadership, mentoring and guidance where appropriate
Essential requirements:
- Full registration with the General Dental Council
- Inclusion on the GDC Specialist List in Orthodontics and/or recognised consultant status
- Appropriate professional indemnity
- Eligibility to work in the UK
