As HR Business Partner, you will act as a strategic advisor and trusted mentor to the management teams of your designated function or department. You'll work closely with leaders to build and sustain high performing, engaged teams, with a particular focus on manager coaching, and team development; identifying gaps and positioning impactful people strategies that enable the business to mitigate risk and perform effectively. You’ll play a hands-on role in delivering people initiatives that create improvements for employee experience and proactively work to improve culture. You will also be responsible for completing the associated administrative tasks related to your work, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant people processes.

What you’ll do

  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with leaders, acting as a trusted business partner to position impactful people strategies that enable the business to identify gaps, mitigate risk, and perform effectively.
  • Act as a coach and thought partner to managers, equipping them with the skills, confidence, and tools to lead high-performing teams.
  • Build and deliver training, frameworks, and guidance for effective performance management, including setting expectations, giving feedback, and managing underperformance.
  • Partner with managers on career development planning, succession planning, and internal mobility.
  • Support employee relations cases, providing sound advice and ensuring proper documentation and process compliance.
  • Ensure the timely completion of all administrative tasks related to the above responsibilities, such as updating employee records, preparing documentation, tracking performance actions, and maintaining accurate HR data.
  • Play an active role in projects that improve the quality and efficiency of our processes and streamline systems, such as the automation of admin tasks.
  • Use people data (e.g., engagement surveys, turnover trends, performance outcomes) to inform business decisions and continuous improvement to the employee experience.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on hiring needs and workforce planning.
  • Partner on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the business.
  • Support organisational change and growth initiatives through both strategic guidance and hands-on implementation.
  • Foster a culture of continuous development and always lead by example.
  • Promote an inclusive and diverse culture, in line with the Henry Schein One values.

What you’ll bring with you

  • Proven experience as an HRBP or People Partner in a tech-focused environment, ideally within SaaS or product-led businesses.
  • Strong coaching and advisory skills, especially in performance and team development.
  • Ability to balance strategic partnership with administrative execution — comfortable working end-to-end across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive people information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and coordinate work with multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organised in a dynamic work environment.
  • Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting fast-growing or scaling teams through change and ambiguity.
  • CIPD qualification (Level 5 or higher) or equivalent experience preferred.
